I was so tired this morning...I wasn't sure I even wanted to scrap. What am I saying? Well, after getting Lucas on the bus, I just had to take a nap. Frank made his usual 9:00 call and that got me going. I wasn't able to talk to him last night because he was so tired that he feel asleep at 9:00. Got into the tub, made some more Chai Tea, and sure enough as soon as I was dressed, Shannon called and I was ready "to be learned". Shannon and I are just joking around with our grammar girls. Now, I was so excited and couldn't wait to see how Shannon makes Stamped Tile Coasters and decorate candles. She's making the coasters for teachers at school...what a sweetie! Me, I just have a bunch of stuff I bought at the Target at the dollar spot. You know, stationery, paper, card kits, picture frames, and all that kind of goodie stuff. That will work for me. Shannon saw my stash and said "O-M-G, you're set for a long time for Lucas's teachers. Ok, back to making the tiles, WAY TOO KEWL!! I took pictures as she did it, so she can post them in her blog....I'll share when she shares. Hey, a lot easier than I thought so off to shopping I went to get all the stuff. I had to call Shannon about 4 times because I couldn't find the corkboard to put underneath. I had to give up and make it home for Lucas. I'm going to make them while the boys go camping this weekend. They are going to Cannon Lake Potter's Creek west of San Marcos for Cub Scouts. With Papa being the leader of the Bears he's super busy making sure he has everything for the trip for the kids. Thank goodness he's so organized and we keep all the camping stuff "in the bunker". That Lucas, the things he comes up with. We have a hall closet that goes about 8 feet deep and underneath the stairs "THE BUNKER". LOL
Speaking of funny things Lucas says, never a dull moment with him. He's so bright and witty. Anyway, Lucas and Frank went shopping for their camping experience. He asks Lucas, "Do you want Pop-Tarts?" and Lucas responds with "Dad, you from the Pop-tart Generation, my generation eats Energy Bars". O-M-G, I love him!
Got home just in time for Lucas and he was so happy to show me his report card. He had received a Commended on his Reading TAKS test. HE GOT ONLY 1 WRONG. O-M-G-
Yes, Texas must pass this test before they can pass their grade. Also, his report card had ALL A's...smart just like his Momma.
I even managed to make cookies and spaghetti. Went all out and put the little dough squares on a plate, place in oven and POOF - cookies. Cook hamburger, put can of sauce in pan, and make noodles, POOF- spaghetti. (Lucas had another funny comment about supper...can't remember right now, have to ask him tomorrow. I remember it was very adult-like). ADD LATER SHEILA! Yes, I need to remind myself.
Of course, I messed up last night on calling American Idol loser. Oh well, it's one of the Davids' that's going to win anyway. Tonight is Lost and I'm trying to type at the same time....
Frank's trying to pack around me and watch Lost at the same time. Frank called his Dad tonight, I know he's worried and just wanted to tell him that you have to take care of yourself now Dad! I haven't heard Frank talk that way to his Dad...it was really nice to hear. No wonder I love him. What a great day!
Good night!
